I am passionate about the preservation of nature and wildlife, and communicating the importance of the natural world to all audiences. By using both written word and illustration, I enjoy translating biological concepts into captivating stories. I completed my Masters degree in Biology at Temple University in the summer of 2020. Prior to pursuing a graduate education, I received a BS in Biology from Temple University in 2018 and a BFA in Illustration from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2009. This summer, I participated in the AAAS Mass Media Fellowship, where I learned an immense about about science communication by writing for the Austin American-Statesman. I am currently finishing up a research assistantship in the Sewall Lab at Temple University, and I am on the look out for a job that combines my passions for nature, science communication and artistic expression. Through illustration and story telling, I hope to expand public understanding of science and grow our collective appreciation for the extraordinary planet on which we live.
